The NBMFRC requires someone with enthusiasm who enjoys working in a challenging environment, with strong human resource management and accounting skills, works collaboratively with a dedicated Board of Directors and professional staff (which includes Little Wings Child Care), has the business acumen to stay on top of efficiency and cost effectiveness, has a strategic and innovative approach to serving the community and is able to adjust to the military culture as required. Our ideal candidate will have: - A history of providing leadership to create a highly effective and cohesive multi-disciplinary team to assess community needs and deliver appropriate services within an established framework of accountability. - Proven strength in ensuring effective over-all administration and fiscal management and the ability to work effectively with government and funding agencies. - Experience developing and implementing strategic plans with successful results. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a Board to create a productive working relationship between administration and the Board. - Strong communication skills and a comfort level with advocacy and public presentations. - Experience in capacity building through partnerships, fund development, and community development. - Insight to the military community and the capability to develop partnerships with the military units and the broader community. - A solid understanding of policy development and program delivery with a minimum of five years management experience in not-for-profit agencies would be an asset. - An undergraduate degree in a related discipline, or experience in a related field, as well as proficiency in both French and English would be considered valuable assets. Compensation is to be negotiated and will be commensurate with qualifications. Social Media Coordinator North Bay, Ontario The District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the one year position of Social Media Coordinator, supported through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund of Canada’s internship program. The intern will set up social media channels, create informative content for public dissemination, monitor and measure social media to capture citizen feedback, educate about the DNSSAB’s services, and assist with various social media campaigns. Graduates of study in Public and Media Relations or similar study, with a strong understanding of social media and an interest in social services, preferred. Qualifications: • Current understanding of social media platforms • Strong writing and communications skills • Ability to facilitate conversations among people online • Strong knowledge about the use of metrics to measure engagement in social media and create reports based on those metrics to draw insights from the previous interactions • University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program. The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study.
